we will be visiting our kid in college soon and would like to bring our puppy - would welcome any suggestions on a clean place to stay with a pet - only one night so cost is less important than cleanliness and location - thanks!
bringing our puppy to Washington DC
Which college is he in? This would help in choosing the location. Since you are only here that 1 day, you don%26#39;t want to be too far away.
bringing our puppy to Washington DC
georgetown ... thanks!
There is a Doubletree on New Hampshire Avenue near George Washington University that accepts pets up to 75lbs. They charge I think $20.00 per day per pet. This isn%26#39;t far at all from the Georgetown University and it%26#39;s a nice hotel. I don%26#39;t know of many more that accept pets.
thank you so much - I will check it out - it%26#39;s a little crazy on our part but he wants to see the pup and I want to see him :)
Thanks again!
We brought our dog to Washington, DC over the 4th of July and stayed at the Residence Inn - Capitol. They charge a $200 non refundable deposit so I would not recommend it for a night or two. You can also look on the website dogfriendly.com and they list various hotels that accept pets if the Doubletree is not available.
If you -- and your puppy -- would like a more unique hotel experience, all of the Kimpton boutique hotels in DC are pet-frriendly (it would apparently receive a ';welcome'; goodie bag of its own upon check-in) and don%26#39;t appear to charge anything extra -- except for extras, such as the ';day spa'; at the Hotel George where pets (and I quote) ';enjoy an aromatherapy bath and massage, professional styling, and a full day of interaction and play';!
