anywhere to stay clear of ?

Hello,

I am coming to town in a couple of weeks for a business trip and I will be walking around to take in the sights. I was wondering- are there any areas that I should steer clear of? any subway stops it may be best not to get off at? any places best not to walk around at night?

I will be staying at the Grand Hyatt.

The tourist sites and business areas are safe. You would have no reason to be in the sketchy part of town if you are in town for business and/or sightseeing.

As long as you stick to the Tourmobile route areas, you%26#39;ll be fine. See www.tourmobile.com for their map.

The Grand Hyatt is in a fine area, and the Metro is very safe. It is known for its clean and nearly crime-free environment. If you stick to Downtown, the Mall area, Capitol Hill, Dupont Circle, Georgetown, Chinatown, you will not be anywhere near any of the less-desirable neighborhoods. Generally anywhere in the NW quadrant is fine.

Enjoy your time in the capital, and don%26#39;t be worried. Our city is very safe.
