Good restaurants near Dupont Circle?

My boyfriend and myself will be visiting DC over Labor Day Weekend. We have always liked trying good, trendy restaurants when we travel. Any recommendations on great places we should try near Dupont Circle since we will be staying at Rouge Hotel? Many thanks in advance for your advises!

Good restaurants near Dupont Circle?

If you want to spend some money, try Komi (1509 17th St. NW). It has a nice atmosphere with delicious, original food.

For some a little cheaper, Bistrot du Coin is fun and usually loud(1738 Connecticut Ave. NW)

Hank%26#39;s Oyster Bar is great, but tiny (1624 Q Street, NW).

A little further from your hotel, but worth the trip (in the Penn Quarter neighborhood) is Zaytinya (701 Ninth St. NW). It%26#39;s easily accessible by metro (3 stops from Dupont Circle).

Have fun!

Thank you very much for your recommendations!

I was in Montreal in March and enjoyed great food and a fun time. Hope you do the same in DC!

Thanks Mopsydog!

By curiosity, which restaurants did you try in Montréal?

We had dinner at Au Pied de Cochon and Brunoise. I know it%26#39;s probably frowned upon by the locals, but I have to say the poutine with fois gras at Au Pied de Cochon was really good! We also had a nice lunch at Olive %26amp; Gourmando. We stayed at the University Bed %26amp; Breakfast near McGill. (We like to skimp on hotel and spend on food!) It was really quite pleasant once you got past the somewhat run-down outside. Anyway - I should probably be posting this on the Montreal site, right? I did post a review of the B%26amp;B.

I am glad to hear that you enjoyed Montréal! Brunoise %26amp; Le Pied de Cochon are excellent choices (even for the locals!!). Next time, you should try La Chronique on Laurier Ouest and Le Club Chasse %26amp; Pêche in Old Montréal.

I like Bistro du Coin (French) and Cafe Odeon (Italian).

Il Tomate is a bit overpriced in my opinion and what you get isn%26#39;t worth the cost.

Check out the Zagat website or the Washington Post online reviews for some good suggestions.

Thanks for those suggestions!

-Al Tiramisu (Italian)

-Sam %26amp; Harry%26#39;s (steaks)

-Vidalia (fancy southern food somewhat expensive)

-Ruth Chris (Steakhouse and other fare, very very expensive)

-Cafe Japone (Asian)

-Bacchus (Lebanese Restaurant)

Merci beaucoup!
