Late evening restaurant?

Any suggestions for a Thursday night dinner. We are arrivng by plane (Dulles)at 9 pm and will get to the Bethesda Hyatt around 9:45 pm.

We will be tired and looking for a light dinner before calling it a day.

We could stop near Dulles with our rental car or after we check in at the hotel. We enjoy all cuisines and are happy to try something new.

Late evening restaurant?

Your hotel, the Hyatt Regency Bethesda, has 2 restaurants that are open from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. However, if you prefer to stop for food before getting there, you do have some options not far from Dulles. In Herndon (exit off the Dulles Access Road) there is a diner that%26#39;s open 24/7 called Amphora. It is possible to get a light meal there. Another option--head a little further down the Access Road and exit at Reston Parkway to get to the Reston Town Center. There are several options for late dining there. Check out their website for more info:

Late evening restaurant?

Most places in this area probably close around 10pm during the week M-Thurs.. There are a few exceptions. Listed are a few that I enjoy and might or might not be open that late. Some of them you can make reservations so you might want to do that. Also they are all within a 5 minute walk or if you drive less than 3 minutes or so.

-Centro Italian Grill- Italian food nice small quaint place. Call to verify their hours. (301) 951-1988. You have to try their cheesecake if you go here it%26#39;s not the dense type it%26#39;s very light and creamy. There food is very light and not heavy at all. Their portions aren%26#39;t too big. You could even do their appetizers 2 a piece should fill you up for such a late dinner. They have these ';spring roll'; type appetizers that are delicious. 4838 Bethesda Avenue it%26#39;s walking distance but don%26#39;t know if you want to walk that late at night. just a 3-5 minute walk

-Ruth Chris- they are very expensive and they probably are open the latest out of these in the area. You might have to make reservations as well. 7315 Wisconsin Avenue. Eat appetizers and you should be filled completely.

-Morton%26#39;s Steakhouse is at your hotel. Stop by there on your way in. It%26#39;s not only steaks they have other nice dishes as well. Once again, I would do 2 larger appetizers instead of a meal. With a few drinks and rolls/breadsticks you would be plenty full.

-Clyde%26#39;s of Chevy Chase, 5441 Wisconsin Avenue (301) 951-9600, seafood and steak type place. Good food. Not too large of a portion for each but try the appetizers. They usually have nice deals on some entrees as well.

-McCormick %26amp; Schmicks- 7401 Woodmont Avenue (301) 961-2626. Similar to Clydes with the food. Just a hop skip and jump from your hotel.

If you want something quicker than a sit down dinner, but still really good, and everything else is closed, Booeymonger in Chevy Chase will be open until 1 am. The one closest to your hotel closes at 10, but this one is just a little further down Wisconsin Avenue. They have excellent sandwiches, hot and cold, salads and desserts.

Just FYI - it may be ambitious to think you can pick up your rental car and make it to Bethesda by 9:45. There shouldn%26#39;t be any traffic, but if you%26#39;re able to make a reservation somewhere, 9:45 might be pushing it.

I like the Clyde%26#39;s Chevy Chase idea if you don%26#39;t mind going a little bit out of the way - open til 11:00 pm. Indique Heights in Chevy Chase gets pretty good reviews for Indian food. They%26#39;re open til 10:30 pm on Thursday.

Some other suggestions:

Daily Grill in Bethesda is open until 11:00 pm.

The Barking Dog is a bar, but they have a late-night menu from 10 pm til closing.
