family of four adults, spending five days in each of NY and Washington DC.
Ideally we would like a fairly central hotel - walking is no problem [but it%26#39;s good to be near enough to change shoes during the day if necessary]. A quad room would be cheaper than two separate I%26#39;m sure and It would be easier and more cost effective if breakfast, even continental , was served in the hotel. It is not necessarily a cheap hotel we want, but just the best deal.
As it will be 5thto 11th April, the cherry blossom festival will be on so rooms may be at a premium so we want to book soon.
Any advice on any aspect of this visit would be most welcome.
best area/hotel for four adults
I would start by checking the Embassy Suites chain. The one on 22nd Street, near the Convention Center, or in Crystal City (Arlington) VA would all be good options. The Convention Center location is closest to the National Mall, but they%26#39;re all located near metro.
Other options would be One Washington Circle Hotel, Washington Suites (Georgetown), Homewood Suites, Residence Inn (Vermont Avenue) or the River Inn.
Check the reviews. Hope this helps get you started. Perhaps you can write in again once you find a few places that are available in your price range to further narrow down the choices. Good luck!
