One day advice

I will spending Friday in DC before a wedding. Looking for suggestions for museum shows to visit. Thanks

One day advice

Without knowing your interests, I%26#39;d check out the Smithsonian%26#39;s website, where they list current exhibitions on the front page.

http://www.si.edu

I%26#39;d lean towards the Museum of American History because 1) I%26#39;ve always considered it the most ';generic'; of the museums, and 2) it%26#39;ll be closing shortly for renovations (for about two years) and will be inaccessible if you make a return trip during that time.

Check the website for American History first - Some of the exhibits have already closed so it may not even be worth a visit.

As Tubman said, though, it really depends on your interests. There are some things I found interesting at the National Gallery (Rousseau, for example). Or, you may want to check out the newly renovated and reopened National Potrait Gallery and American Art Museum. I thought it was great.
