Public Tour of LoC vs. BEP

I have to take a business group on a tourist activity for a few hours in the morning in mid september. None of the congressional tours are available in our time frame... does anyone know what the deal is with the public tours of the Library of Congress and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing? Which is better? Do you have to wait in line this time of year?

You might want to check their websites - things may have changed since the summer tourist season. Info on the BEP tours can be found at www.moneyfactory.gov. (great title!)

It depends on your interest, of course, but it seems to me that most people would opt for BEP over LOC. It just seems more fun to see money being printed if you have to choose one. If you go on a weekday, I%26#39;d be surprised if you have to wait in line for long, but I can%26#39;t say for sure.

While it may be more fun to see money being made, I would recommend the LOC tour. The Jefferson Building, where the tours are conducted, is absolutely beautiful and the tour guides are very good and give lots of interesting facts about the library and the art and architecture of the building. Check out www.loc.gov for tour times, or if your group is large, they may schedule something just for you.
