Washington Marriott to St. Matthew's

Is walking from Washington Marriott on 22nd near M to St. Matthew%26#39;s at 1725 Rhode Island advisable on a Sunday morning?

There is absolutely no problem for a healthy person walking the 6 blocks or so from that Marriott to St. Matthew%26#39;s Cathedral, at any time of day or night. Just watch out for those crazy ';right on red'; drivers.

I%26#39;m at the Embassy Suites which is across the street from the Marriott and we walk to Farragut North station in which we pass St Matthews and yes crossing Connecticut Ave can be dicey but on Sunday morning we had no problem.

Thanks so much, Darrell6t and byzdad. I think we are just about ready for our trip at this point. Couldn%26#39;t have done it without you.

Sorry, that was suppose to be bzydad.

The Marriott is in a great location,a CVS drugstore is next door and many restaurants around the block on New Hampshire Ave.Have a great time,we are.

Forgot one thing :should we purchase our Monuments by Moonlight tickets online before we leave or was it convenient to purchase them in DC and is the departure point at Union Station well marked? Thanks

We purchased them inside Union Station mainly because of the weather factor and had no problem getting in,lots of trolleys.
