Hi all...
I will be traveling to Washington DC for a convention in early December. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for dining near the Convention Center. I%26#39;ll be dining alone, so I%26#39;d like restaurants where I won%26#39;t feel out of place. Also, reasonably priced would be good.
Many thanks!!
Lori
Dining suggestions
You might look into a place called Matchbox, which calls itself a ';vintage pizza bistro.'; Cafe Atlantico is well-regarded also, and has good fresh guacamole.
Dining suggestions
I agree with Thad%26#39;s suggestions.
Another place I like quite a bit is Teaism (400 8th Street NW -- www.teaism.com). It%26#39;s setting would be ideal for eating alone.
Also, there is a little Vietnamese place that is on 6th Street NW--I don%26#39;t even know the name, but they have great soup, and I wouldn%26#39;t hesitate to eat there alone. Since I don%26#39;t know the name, I can%26#39;t give you the address, but it%26#39;s right next door to Kanlaya at 740 6th Street NW.
