What are some good halloween events happening on the weekend prior or on the actual Halloween day?

I%26#39;ve reserached and found some places, but most require driving/no metro access.

Just wondering if there%26#39;s any things to do within the metro?

I%26#39;m looking for anything fun, like costume parties, good haunted hayrides/trails/houses, pumpkin patches, etc.

It%26#39;s true - there%26#39;s not much advertised near metro, although I%26#39;m sure alot of the bars/clubs will be doing somethings.

Clarendon Ballroom (in Arlington, VA - Metro: Clarendon) apparently has an annual bash - this year%26#39;s on 10/28. I think their website is under construction, so you may just want to call to confirm (but here%26#39;s link in the meantime)
