Are you allowed backpacks inside the Capitol? We plan on using a backpack as our diaper bag as we tour the city for the day. Wondering if we%26#39;ll be allowed on the Capitol tour with it... Thanks

on the website there is a list of items you cannot bring, including any bag larger than 14'; wide x 13'; high x 4'; deep...so it seems to depend on size of backpack

Any bag larger than 14'; wide x 13'; high x 4'; deep.
Meaning it%26#39;s not prohibited if within the allowed size but it just takes longer for you to get through security.
There were lockers outside in December.
Also no food is allowed in,we used my daughters school backpack and she left a muffin in one of the pockets and was detected by the screener,the muffin was five days old ugh
