Of all the sites I have read about so far, nothing has received more negative reviews, than the National Aquarium in both DC and Baltimore.
If you don%26#39;t believe me, just use the TripAdvisor Search, and type in ';national aquarium baltimore'; or ';national aquarium washington dc';.
Post after post of horror stories about stinky, sweaty, overcrowding at Baltimore, and with regards to DC, ';a fish store is more interesting.';
And if you look at the NA-DC website--
http://www.nationalaquarium.com/index.htm
--it is easily the least attractive of any website I have seen so far. Add to the fact, the NA is one of the only attractions that has an entrance fee ($5 DC/$22 Baltimore), this place seems to beg the traveler to skip it completely.
I live out on the West Coast, so I think I%26#39;ll save my Aquarium visit for the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and use my DC time for something else. . .
. . . or am I wrong?
. . . is it really that bad?
. . . anyone know?
What's Up With the National Aquarium?
Yes, there are better aquariums but if you want to see one when in this area, the Baltimore one is better than the DC one.
What's Up With the National Aquarium?
I visitied the Monterey aquarium this summer, and I can tell you it is magnificent. You could spend a whole day in there.
The National Aquarium is not worth your time. The Baltimore Aquarium is nice, but it%26#39;s true that the crowds can be horrendous. If you need an animal fix, I%26#39;d propose the zoo - it%26#39;s free. We went last weekend and almost got to see the octopus being fed. Unfortunately, my toddler couldn%26#39;t wait while the guy talked and talked about the octopus%26#39;s reproductive habits so we didn%26#39;t actually see the feeding in the end...
