On April 11th, there will be fireworks for the Cherry Blossom Festival. We are considering a dinner cruise on the Odyssey (very expensive) or watching from the ground. What would locals recommend? Any other options to consider?

best viewing for fireworksIf you are expecting a grand show like on the Monument Grounds for Fourth of July, you will be disappointed. And if you are taking Odyssey mostly to see those fireworks, I would save money and eat elsewhere before or after watching the fireworks from the SW waterfront somewhere near the Odyssey dock. The last time I went, it was too cold to comfortably stand for too long. So that could make for a change of plans, depending on the weather.
