to new york from Philadelphia

I have one day to travel from Washington to New Nork.

I%26#39;d like to visit Philadelphia in this time, do you know a day trip or something like this?

Philadelphia is about 3/4 of the way between Washington and New York City. If you get an early train or bus from DC to Philadelphia, spend most of the day touring the city and then catch another train into NYC. You would have to find a place to put your luggage, but I expect there is some sort of storage facility at the 30TH Street Station where Amtrak would put you.
