Is it unrealistic to plan on taking the yellow line metro from Alexandria after 4pm on a Saturday to see the National Archives? If so, what would you suggest? We%26#39;ll be visiting 3/28-4/3.

The National Archives Rotunda, where the major documents are kept, closes at 7 PM this time of year. The last admission is at 6:30. The only problem would be if they are doing track work that weekend that disrupts the usual schedule. That is unpredictable. (If you look at the web site, don%26#39;t confuse the hours for researching records with the open hours of the exhibits. www.archives.gov/dc-metro/washington/#hours )
