better choice of hotel: the latham or the dupont hotel

If was able to get a room at $109 per night at both the Latham and the Dupont Hotel. Anyone have any feedback on which is better as far as location and

a nice place to stay.

For location it is no contest; the newly renovated Dupont wins without a doubt. Right on Dupont Circle and about a block from the Metro stop. One consideration is when you will be visiting, because the Dupont is undergoing a big renovation and you probably want to be sure it is finished before you arrive or you might have to deal with noise and disruption. FYI, it was previously the Jury%26#39;s Hotel.

Thanks for your reply, we will be there April 3-6, 2009. I guess I need to check if construction will still be going on at that time.

The way it looks right now, I would even be surprised if the Dupont is open that soon. But I guess construction workers can accomplish miracles sometimes. They were working last Sunday, but I didn%26#39;t see anyone there today.
