Need help today, 3/20, with scenic ';area'; parks

Leaving later tonight for D.C.and I need an answer. On our way home to Wisconsin next weekend we would like to take a scenic drive (no more than 2 hours). Was thinking of Shenandoah N.P. or Great Falls Park. Does anyone have opionions on the ';better'; one for scenic views, or any others in the area? Don%26#39;t really want to go hiking, although we are willing to get out of the car to enjoy the view.

Great Falls is more of a hiking place. I can%26#39;t think of anything you would see from the parking lot. There are two Great Falls sites: one in Virginia and one in Maryland, both with views of the falls if you%26#39;re willing to walk.

If you drive up the George Washington Parkway north out of DC there are a couple of scenic ocerlooks where you can get a nice view of the Potomac River and Georgetown.

I have no experience with Shenandoah.

Shenandoah%26#39;s Skyline Drive is a great scenic drive, but it seems like it would be in the entirely wrong direction for you if you do this while driving back to Wisconsin. (DC is closest to the park%26#39;s northernmost entrance, which means you could only drive south from there.) That is, unless you are willing to take a lengthy detour (like driving an hour south and then turning around).
