metro pass - quick questions

I am looking at the one day passes for an upcoming trip to DC -

Planning to go to Alexandria, stop at the Pentagon and then back to Foggy Bottom on a Sunday - is the pass cheaper than just buying a fare card?

Another day we will be visiting the Holocaust and other museums (mostly mall area; possibly capital ares )We will be using the Foggy Bottom as our gateway/destination - one day pass or fare card?

metro pass - quick questions

Buying a fare card will be less expensive, but the pass would be less hassle. That way you are not trying to figure out what the fare is. It is $7.80 for the pass, but you can only use it on week days after 9:30 and on Saturday and Sunday.
