I am planning a trip to Washington DC next month (April) with my two children, ages 13 and 10. We are looking at staying at the Residence Inn Washington, Dc / captial on 333 E st, SW. Could any one tell me if this is an area that a woman and two children would be safe in.
Washington DC hotelYou should be safe. But the downside to that area is that after the offices close, there is virtually no place to eat. And not many people on the street. It is close to the Air %26amp; Space Museum and that part of the Mall, so it has its pluses. But you will have to use Metro or a taxi to find a decent place to eat dinner.
Washington DC hotelThis is my first trip to Washington, DC, What hotel do you recommend for us to stay at, that is near the mall, and eatting places.
There are tons of threads on hotels and what areas to stay in. Please look through them to narrow down your options. If you want specific recommendations, you will need to state your nightly budget in dollars.
The Courtyard at 9th and F Streets is a great location. Or the Hotel Monaco a short block away, also on F Street. Both are a few blocks from The Mall and surrounded by restaurants and other diversions.
Thank you, I will check those out.
