Directions to driving from Key Bridge to Philadelphia

Hi,

I can certainly use your help. I am driving tomorrow to Philadelphia and I have conflicting directions from several sources. I am staying at Rosslyn Key Bridge. I hear there are many street closures tomorrow because of a Marathon and protest.

Any good directions out there?

Yes--have someone at the hotel direct you to the entrance to the George Washington Parkway. Then take the parkway northwest to the Beltway (495), then the Beltway east (into Maryland) to 95 north to Philly. This will avoid everything going on in Washington proper.

Directions to driving from Key Bridge to Philadelphia

Based on this list of street closures: nationalmarathon.com/images2009/… I%26#39;d suggest skipping the city all together. Either take 110 south from Rosslyn to Route 1 south, take Rt. 1 to the Beltway 495 and follow signs to Baltimore, or take the GW Parkway north to 495 and follow signs to Baltimore.
