Does anyone know of a DC area hotel (DC, VA, MD) that offers a shuttle to FedEx Field for Redskins games?
Hotel Shuttle to FedEx Field
None - most fans take the Metro and then walk from there.

And it isn%26#39;t a short skip either. It is a pretty fair walk from Metro.
IMHO, it is rather lame how public transportation options have been eliminated over the years. There used to be a shuttle bus that ran from the closest Metro stop and took you to the stadium, but that was discontinued.
Guess Mr.Snyder wants all of your dollars in his pockets, so he wants you left with no option other than to park your car in his lot and pay.
There are probably cabs that will take you to and from Metro/FedEx, but I am not sure. Otherwise, yeah, plan on walking.
Thanks to you both! I was searching on-line and couldn%26#39;t find anything. I%26#39;d have thought that with all the hotel shuttles in the area, someone would try to make money attracting Skins fans by offering transportation. Sounds like a business opportunity!
Again, I am not positive-there may still be other options. Hopefully someone who goes to Skins games will throw in their two-cents.
I don%26#39;t bother with Redskins games because I am offended by the blatant pillaging of my pockets. Yes, going to events like that is expensive, but FedEx is obscene IMHO.
I%26#39;m a season ticket holder, and to the best of my knowledge your only options are:
1) Buy a parking permit to one of the season ticket holder lots on eBay or Stubhub. Expect to pay $50+ for a pass with an original face value of $35. At least you%26#39;ll be within a 10 minute walk of the stadium.
2) Pay to park ($40) day of game in the team%26#39;s cash lots. Note that these are not walking distance from the stadium; you will need to take a ';free'; Metro shuttle bus from your car to the stadium.
3) Pay to park ($20+) day of game in a limited number of private lots located at the outer boundaries of walking distance from the stadium, then walk a mile or more.
4) Take the Metro Blue Line to Morgan Blvd. and walk one mile to the stadium.
5) Sign up for one of the party buses leaving from a suburban location, to drive you to and from the game. Not sure what these cost. The bus lot is close to the stadium, so not a lot of walking. Many people seem to like this option.
6) Rent a limo to take you to the game. I believe most of these drivers require you to pay for their parking and waiting time at the game, as you can%26#39;t drive back into FedEx field after the game (all roads run out-bound). This is therefore your most expensive option.
7) Take a taxi to the game. You%26#39;ll need to come up with concrete plans for getting home after the game, though, as there is no cab stand at the stadium and no easy place to arrange a pickup with the driver who brought you.
Wow. Thanks for the summary, I too appreciate the information because it often comes up around the office-';so and so has tickets to give away';, and inevitably, the getting there and parking is always an issue.
It really is a shame it is such a boondoggle.
This is why I prefer to stick with baseball!
In response to Wart%26#39;s suggestion, #5 may be a good option for you.
I hear of venues such as sports bars/restaurants offering pre-game packages and then ';ride the party bus'; to the game and back.
If you would be up for that, then we would just have to find out what places offer these deals. You would just have to work out getting from hotel XYZ to bar ABC.
Warthog -- GREAT summary of options. Suggest you copy and paste them and save somewhere as when this topic comes up again, as it will, you have the perfect advice.
Regarding the party bus I know Crystal City Sports Pub has a party bus that goes to every game. While I have not personally been on the bus friends rave about the food, fun, and service. In the Crystal City part of Arlington.

There are others, but I am familiar with this service.
And certainly plenty of hotel options in Crystal City!
