Wherever we travel, we traditionally take home tee shirts or sweatshirts for our friends%26#39; kids (now, young teens). Any place for inexpensive tee shirts, etc at Union Station or anywhere else? (We will be all over DC during our three days.)
Inexpensive souvenirs
There are a ton of souvenir stores in Union Station, and then lots of street vendors on/around the Mall and other tourist destinations. If you%26#39;re going to be ';all over DC'; during your trip, you will not be lacking opportunities to but souvenirs, inexpensive or otherwise. Happy shopping!
Inexpensive souvenirs
If you don%26#39;t want to spend a lot then don%26#39;t buy from Union Station. They are somewhat exensive (i.e. a t-shirt for $19.99) when you can buy 3 for $25.00 at a street vendor. As stated before there are several of them around town.
Ms. Maryland is right, t%26#39;s are overpriced at Union Station. There are t-shirt vendors all over town on the streets and the prices are much lower. Plus, you can haggle with them if you purchase more than three.
There is a nice store connected somehow [their office?] with the Old Town Trolley Tour. Located at 10th St NW and E Street, I think. Lots of selection of T-shirts, mugs, key chains, tons of inexpensive stuff!
