Hyatt Bethesda or Omni Shoreham??

Hi everyone! We%26#39;ll be up there next month so that my husband can undergo some medical tests at NIH up in Bethesda. We will be there for 4 nights and plan to do some sightseeing since we%26#39;ve never been up to DC. Right now I%26#39;m trying to decide between these two hotels. The Omni is a tad closer to the sights and its not terribly far from NIH whereas the Hyatt is closer to NIH but further away from the sites.

We will have a toddler with us if it matters. I do plan on taking him to the zoo myself on the day my husband is doing his tests.

The Omni is quite a bit closer to downtown and the sights of DC than the Bethesda hotel. It is also only a few blocks from the National Zoo. Both are in fine areas.

While being 10 minutes further on the Metro from sightseeing, I think you%26#39;ll find more choices in the way of child-friendly amenities (restaurants and shops) in the immediate walking-distance vicinity of the Hyatt, and the hotel is right on top of the Metro. This may be advantageous in your particular situation.

But it%26#39;s hard to make a bad decision given these two choices.

Prayers for a good outcome at NIH.

Stay at the Omni. Your husband will have an easy 15 minute ride on the metro to his station.
