Courtyard by Marriott Washington Northwest parking

I%26#39;ll be here for a weekend to enjoy the cherry blossom. Is there free parking around this hotel area? I want to park the car and use the metro to get around.

I am not exactly sure of the location of the hotel you are talking about, but it is very unlikely that there is free parking in the area

There are several Courtyard by Marriots in NW DC. Can you tell us which one you mean? You may have an easier time finding parking at some than others.

I%26#39;m only there for the weekend so if I can find meter parking will be okay also.

Finding free parking in that neighborhood is challenging but possible. Arm yourself with ample time, a good map, and some patience and you can do it. I recommend starting on the west side of Conn Ave.

Once you find a spot, check the signs VERY carefully. You are unlikely to find a metered spot that will allow you to stay for more than 2-3 hours. However, there is a lot of unmetered parking there--the trick is finding an empty space.

Of course, if time is of the essence, I would just park it in a garage and suffer the high fee.

I should clarify for others that this only applies on the weekends--street parking is restricted to residents only on weekdays.
