I can%26#39;t find on the metro site if you can buy the 7 day fast pass at Reagan National. You can buy it online, but I%26#39;m afraid it won%26#39;t reach me before I leave for my trip.
metro fast pass
You can%26#39;t buy it there. Metro Center is the only actual rail station where you should be able to buy the pass since it houses a retail sales office.
All other stations sell stored-value farecards. Others also sell SmarTrip cards. None of these options provide cost savings like a pass.
Closest to Reagan: You can buy from the Commuter Store in the Crystal City Underground. They are only open weekdays 10-7.

Thanks for the help
Forgive me here if I%26#39;m confused by your question, travlingal - and by your reply, tubman.
We recently returned from DC, and bought the ';7 day fast pass'; for $39 per person as mentioned on the Metro website. We bought it with our credit card from a vending machine at our hotel Metro station, which was Twinbrook. Is it not available at other stations in vending machines? Or is this not what you are asking about, travlingal?

Very happy to report I%26#39;m incorrect--I thought they were only still only sold online or by humans. They are sold at all stations at the newer machines. (The ones labeled ';Passes';...duh!) Something this daily rider has never noticed until now. Thanks for pointing this out.
I needed to know if you could purchase the 7 day fast pass at Reagan National. We intend to take the Metro from the airport to our hotel, The Omni. We will be in town for 5 days and will be using the pass to get to all the sights as well.
To reverse my earlier answer, yes you can. At least some of the vending machines will be labeled ';Passes/Farecards.'; Choose the ';Pass'; option on one of these and it will give you a selection of the different passes available.
What you probably want is not the 7-day ';Fast Pass'; for $39, but rather the 7-day ';Short Trip Pass.'; for $26.40 since it is unlikely any of the fares you%26#39;ll face over your visit will exceed $2.65 during your visit. (Reagan-Omni will probably be the longest trip you%26#39;ll encounter, and it%26#39;s $2.55 at peak times.)
So the Metro station there should have the vending machines to buy the pass from :-)
Yes, you can buy it at Reagen. I bought a 7-day pass there last Saturday.
Be sure to keep your receipt. My pass was de-magnetized after about 3 days of use. The Metro staff was very nice about it and never even asked to see my receipt. They just asked how many more days I had remaining on it and wrote the date on it. After that I just held it up and showed it to the attendants at the windows, who waved me on through the gates instead of using the turnstiles. I just think you should probably keep the receipt in case there is a dispute. That has never happened to me before, though.
