Spy Museum and Washington Monument

We were wondering if anyone has taken a 10 year old on the Operation Spy at the Spy Museum? Are they hard and fast about people being 12 and up? Would our 10 year old get anything out of it?

Also, I forgot to get tickets to the Washington Monument and they are all sold out till late June...and we are going next week...do people really line up for the same day tickets at 7 in the morning?

I%26#39;ve done Operation Spy and they asked me more than once about the age of my child when I bought the tickets, so I think they are serious about the age limit. I don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s really something that a 10-year-old would appreciate anyway.

I%26#39;m sure that folks DO line up at 7am for these tickets, but you might just as happy (or more so) taking in the view of D.C. from the top of the Old Post Office.
