White House Visit for British visitors

We are a family of 6 and are visiting Washington inbetween Christmas and the New Year. At the top of our %26#39;Must Visit%26#39; list is the White House and would like advice on how to get tour tickets. We would appreciated anyones help and advice.

Thank you, David Miller

For US citizens, we have to go through our Congressional representatives to arrange White House Tours.

For non-US citizens I believe it%26#39;s possible to arrange one through your Embassy here. I%26#39;m not sure how likely it is, especially for a group of 6, but that would be the recommended starting point anyway.

thank you Irishfan for your reply. I had a reply from the British Embassy regarding the tour and it seems we need to make our party up to 10 to be considered. So I am asking for anyone who wants to join our tour to email me. I have done this in a seperate question.

Thanks

This is good to know because previously, someone reported that they were not able to get WH tickets through their embassy (don%26#39;t remember which nationality). Please be sure to let us know if this works out for you. Good luck!

Right now, the UK are one of our strongest allies in the Global War on Terror, so I would expect the embassy to get close cooperation from the White House. Plus, you%26#39;ll have the added benefit of seeing the White House decorated for the holidays! When we went on the holiday tour of the WH last year, we were allowed to bring our cameras - ask the embassy if the general ';no cameras'; restriction will be lifted for your group.
