restaurant for grad celebration

We are looking for a nice place to celebrate a college graduation. A suggestion has been 1789, but I am worried it won%26#39;t have choices for a younger, pickier eater. Any ideas for a great place, with perhaps a kids menu or just kid friendly choices would be appreciated.

Did it matter if it was near the graduation or were the people willing to cab or drive to the restaurant? i.e. 1789 would only be convenient if they are graduating from Georgetown University because the graduations are heldo literally just behind (2 blocks) from there.

There are tons of places across DC that would work but I would need to know where the graduation is located or I would give you a list of about 50 places.

The location isn%26#39;t so important, the ceremony is at 10:00 am, so the dinner would be later that day. We can take a cab wherever, just want it to be special, but with choices for the pre-teen. Thanks.

Maybe ask the graduate. Are you trying to make a reservation for a large group? Nice place is sort of a relative term, are you looking for $30 pp or $100 pp? Alot of restaurants are listed on opentable where you can view the menu%26#39;s.
