Which Embassy Suites, Old Town or Crystal City

Are these equal in terms of convenience of getting downtown? It seems that the one in Old Town has slightly better reviews here. What about the surrounding area? The Metro is across the street from the Old Town one but looks very close to Crystal City as well. Both have shuttle services.

It costs about the same so just curious on which location would be better? Is one property nicer over the other (eg. better rooms or newer building)?

We are only staying two nights with 1 full day and 2 half days to tour.

Which Embassy Suites, Old Town or Crystal City

The Embassy Suites in Old Town is 3 metro stops further from downtown. You won%26#39;t have to take a shuttle to the metro from there as it is literally across the street from the metro station. The reviews do seem better. I%26#39;d probably go for the Old Town location if the price is the same.

Crystal City location is 2 1/2 blocks from the Crystal City Metro. Then it is 3 stops to L%26#39;Enfant Plaza (Air and Space and American Indian) and 4 stops to Smithsonian.

It is also withing walking distance to about 30 restaurants. If you don%26#39;t want to walk you can get a shuttle. Also has a free shuttle to and from the airport.
