Rainy day with baby and toddler?

We are having a family reunion this weekend in the Washington DC area. On Friday, we had planned to go to the zoo with our baby and toddler but the forecast says rain. What is there for a family to do on a rainy day with such young children? The toddler won%26#39;t stay in the stroller for very long.

There%26#39;s lots of indoor activities at the zoo - the Monkey House, the Reptile House, the Panda House, the GIFT SHOP, etc. And the rain isn%26#39;t expected to last long, at least during tonight%26#39;s WeatherCast.

i%26#39;m not sure how it would work with the baby but the toddler might like the spy musuem...though i don%26#39;t know how long that would last.

the above poster is right the zoo does have a lot of indoor stuff but you do have to walk outside in the rain to get between many of them.

I can%26#39;t really think of much else to do for a baby and toddler in D.C., honestly. I%26#39;m guessing you want a lot of interactive stuff to keep them busy! The postal building does have a pretty cool elevator that takes you all the way up and you can see alot of D.C but that won%26#39;t last you long!

Or try the Natural History Museum.....lots of dinosaurs.

Cirque du Soleil!

I was walking to Five Guys to get a delicious hamburger and saw the tents. Looks very exciting. Spy Museum is also nearby and delicious restaurants like Five Guys and Acadiana.

Have a wonderful time in DC!
