Schedule Conflicts: Which tour(s) to take?

My first visit to DC will be in mid-October. I have requested tours from my senators and congressman months ago. I’m finally getting tour confirmations. YEAH! I have a couple of scheduling conflicts. What are your thoughts on which to choose?

Congressional Tour Library of Congress vs. Diplomatic Reception Rms (Dept of State)

I was thinking of doing the Dept of state tour because I can take the Public tour at the Library of Congress. Is the congressional tour that much different than the public tour?

Capitol Tour from my Senator vs. Capitol Tour from my Congressman

Are these the same tour? Same points of interest?

thanks!

I would think that the congressional tour would be a little better, but I actually don%26#39;t know. Not much ink of the Dip tour at State so you are probably right to do that one and catch the Library later.

As for which rep to take, if one of them has more stature than the other, I would choose that one. It%26#39;s all in who you know in this town and coming from an office that has clout might get you further.

Sorry I don%26#39;t know for sure. Just wanted to give you some kind of reply so you have something to go on. I hate to see people%26#39;s questions with no replies. Hopefully someone else has a little more experience.

I have been here 10 years and never been through the capitol. Go firgure.

I did the public tour of the Library of Congress and it was wonderful. So I would choose the Diplomatic Reception Room tour and just do the LOC%26#39;s public tour. The Capitol tour is the same for both houses. Really the only difference is the tour guide some are really good some just ok.

Thank you both for your comments. Appreciate the help!

Have a wonderful trip!
