Does anyone know how the nightlife is on the weekends in DC?

There certainly is quite a lot to do on weekend nights. What are your interests? Some areas that have active weekend nightlife are Georgetown, Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan.

I am looking to come down there from Boston with a couple of 26 year old girls. We are kind of past that 21 year old hot spot but not yet in the 30 hot spots. Where would you suggest staying with those areas that you mentioned? Thank you so much for your help!!
Are you and your group more ';bar'; people or more ';club'; people? - that helps in terms of recommending. If you like bars, I have some good suggestions - other would have to help out with the club scene.
