capitol, supreme court, library of congress tours- worth it?

Are the guided tours to these places worth it?

capitol, supreme court, library of congress tours- worth it?

The best tours of the Capitol are given by Congressional offices. Call your member of Congress or one of your Senators to arrange a tour. If you do not have a member of Congress or Senator, i.e. you%26#39;re visiting from another country, you%26#39;ll have to get in line early for the few tour tickets they give out. It%26#39;s been a long long time since I was on one of these tours, but I think they are guided and that%26#39;s the only way you can tour the Capitol. The Capitol is beautiful and you%26#39;ll hear a lot of history on the tours. The Library of Congress is also a beautiful building, but unless you are really really interested in the history of the library and the architecture of the building, you probably don%26#39;t need a guided tour. The guided tours last for about an hour, so plan accordingly. As for the Supreme Court, I%26#39;m not sure if they give guided tours, but if so, it%26#39;s probably not necessary. There is a great exhibit on the lower level that gives the history of the Court and other high courts and you can really just peek into the actual court room anyway, unless you are there to hear an argument.
