Any Help w/ Itinerary would be appreciated:)

The first day, leave your bags at the Days Inn since your tour of the Capitol starts at 8:45 a.m. The Holocaust Museum and the Washington Monument both require timed tickets. So my advice would be to get those in advance. Although the Holocaust Museum says it requires timed tickets, some days they just let people in when they show up. You could try this but there%26#39;s no telling how it will work out. Either way expect to wait in line to go through security that is like airport security. Allow 2-3 hours for this museum. Since you will be staying part of the time in Old Town Alexandria, it would be easy to incorporate a walk through the area into your itinerary. Ben%26#39;s Chili would be easy to do as one of your meals. As for getting to Baltimore--during the week, you could take a MARC train there (www.mtamaryland.com). However, if you went on a weekend day, it would have to be by Amtrak. Should you get timed tickets to the Washington Monument, you could take a walk along the Mall afterwards and see the other monuments and memorials.
