Hello, I am looking for a nice restaurant. We are headed to D.C. for a funeral at Arlington. We would like to find a nice restaurant for the family after the service. There will be about 20-25 of us including children. Maybe a place that has a small private room. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone can recommend a florist that would be a bonus. Thank you!!
Restaurant help
-Most places will require that you make previous reservations.
-Lots of Florist (Caruso Florist on Wisconsin Avenue in DC is nice)
-Sometimes we use Edible Arrangements (The edible fruit baskets) it %26#39;s a little different and people like to eat fruit.
Restaurants:
-Did you want to be in DC or Arlington.

Butterfield 9 on 14th and F
Zaytinya on 9th and G has a balcony type room
McCormick and Schmitd on 9th and F
Smith and Wollensky on 19th between L and M
La Fourchette in Adams Morgan is a little French bistro that has a separate room upstairs. Very quaint. Owner is a friend. 18th near Belmont.
The family may want to check with the people at the cemetery. Arlington usually assigns family liasons to help with arrangements. Since so many Arlington funerals involve people from out of the area it would not surprise me if they had a list of some type of nearby restaurants that accomdate your group.
Another consideration would be parking and directions. If the restaurant is in downtown DC, you can surely count on several out-of-towners getting lost along the way, and others will be delayed due to the difficulty of finding on-street parking (unless you want to make them pay a restaurant valet).
There are several restaurants outside the Ft Myer gates in Rosslyn and south towards Pentagon/Crystal City. I%26#39;d second the idea of checking with your liaison officer at Arlington for recommendations and/or reservations.
