Clubs playing emocore/metalcore?

Hello,

I will be visiting DC in a few weeks and was wondering

if any of you guys knew good dance clubs that play modern,

hard rock music as mentioned above?

Check out the line ups at the 9:30 Club, Black Cat, Velvet Lounge, Warehouse Next Door and DC9. I%26#39;m sure you can find their websites by doing a google search. Or do a google search on ';Washington DC music venues'; and you may come up with a list and find them in there. Good luck.

The places mentioned in the earlier post are live music venues, not really dance places and will most likely not have the kind of music you indicated you were interested in. This will probably be the closest thing to what you are looking for -- http://www.alchemy-dc.com. The site also has links to some of the other venues frequented by the Alchemy DJ%26#39;s.

Yeah, the problem with most US cities is that there are not many dance clubs playing rock music, it%26#39;s usually RnB, HipHop and Techno.

I will sure check out the website of those clubs and venues, maybe I can find something for my taste.

If anyone wants to make additions to that list, it%26#39;d be very much appreciated.

Fan of hardcore and punk (circa 1981-2001) but just can%26#39;t into the new wave of screamo metal. As far as clubs and music, my advice would be to check out the DC City Paper and see what is going on while you will be in town. There used to a club called Heaven and Hell (this was a few years back) that had some interesting options.
